Enjoy Lanhydrock (National Trust) with its grand house, beautiful gardens and maybe hire a bike to explore the network of cycle trails.
Have a walk or cycle at Cardinham Woods, not forgetting a coffee and cake at the cafe.

The nearby coastline has a great selection of beaches with sheltered waters, which are very family friendly.

Originally traditional farm buildings, Warricks is one of six courtyard cottages, which has been sensitively converted into a delightful retreat. Set around a mature cultivated courtyard, you may even find seasonally grown apples, it really is just magical.
Open the door and you will find fabulous furnishings, antiques, and quirky individual finds that come together to form a truly harmonious space. Sociable and suitable for the whole family in all seasons.
Connect and spend some much-needed time together in the open plan living area, discuss the day's events while preparing holiday feasts in the well-equipped kitchen, or indulge in some delicious local produce and sweet treats at the dining-table.
Get cosy in front of the wood-burning stove and maybe get the board games out in chillier weather, or on warmer evenings relax over lazy al fresco meals in the courtyard garden.
Two lovely bedrooms, complete with luxury Egyptian cotton bedding, ensure a good night's sleep. From the main bedroom, patio doors invite you outside to a private terraced area, ideal for listening to the birds in the morning.
The Restormel Estate has some fabulous leisure facilities that are available for all guests staying on site, with an indoor heated pool, sauna, children's play area, and tennis court - you are in for a treat. And if fishing is your sport, there's complimentary fishing (seasonal) in the River Fowey that weaves its way through the Estate.
From your door, you will find paths taking you to some really special places, such as the magical ruins of Restormel Castle, stunning wood and parklands, or the Duchy of Cornwall Nursery, which not only has a wonderful choice of plants and gifts but serves up some amazing food and drink, you are sure to indulge. Head less than a mile down the lane and you will find the little riverside town of Lostwithiel, with its collection of antiques shops, independent shops, pubs, and cafes.
Warricks is the ideal base for exploring this enchanting part of Cornwall, positioned perfectly to enjoy both coastal and countryside walks, lazing on the beach, and wandering through beautiful gardens or fishing villages and towns. There are so many fabulous days out to be had. A short drive and you will reach the creekside village of Lerryn. Said to be the inspiration of Kenneth Grahame's 'The Wind in the Willows' here you can take the wooded walk along the river which eventually leads to the popular sailing town of Fowey.
Why not head to the extraordinary Eden Project or the Lost Gardens of Heligan, a must for horticulturalists or just green-fingered enthusiasts. Bring your bike and discover the stunning scenery at Cardinham Woods either on two feet or two wheels, finishing with a piece of homemade cake at the little cafe.
Fancy a day by the seaside? Bathing, paddleboarding, or wild swimming? Within a 30 minute drive, you will find many beautiful beaches on the south coast, offering all manner of adventure.
