Nestled in the tranquil oasis of Loskeyle Farm, one of our rural retreats, Bowlan offers guests a warm welcome from the moment you step through the front door. From humble origins as a farm building, this characterful mid-terraced barn has been thoughtfully renovated to create a very comfortable home-from-home, perfectly designed for up to four guests.

Open plan living is the order of the day with comfy sofas around the wood-burner and a farmhouse table, perfectly positioned to enjoy a meal together, before sinking in front of the fire on a cold evening or during a winter stay. With an abundance of local produce on your doorstep, head off to one of the farm shops and stock up on great food and drinks for your holiday feasts. Leisurely breakfasts discussing plans for the day, a light lunch out on the terrace or a three course dinner for that special occasion; whatever your pleasure, Bowlan delivers.

The bedrooms can be found on the first floor, the double with its perfectly dressed king-size bed and unique furniture and the twin next door with comfy and inviting full-size single beds, ideal for adults or the younger ones. With a bathroom on this floor and a cloakroom downstairs, guests will be very comfortable in this beautiful barn. From October, the short breaks you will be able to enjoy are Monday-Friday/Friday-Monday.

Set around a landscaped courtyard with three other properties at Loskeyle Farm, take an early morning or evening stroll around the grounds and through the orchard to appreciate the truly wonderful surroundings.

Staying at this location your choice of things to do are numerous, there is complimentary fishing on the River Camel, or bring the walking boots and head off to the ruggedly beautiful Bodmin Moor to explore Brown Willy and the Nine Stones Circle before finding a cafe or pub for a bite to eat. Head to the north coast and take to the South West Coast Path in either direction to discover stunning panoramic views around every corner.

The Camel Trail, an 18 mile route of trails, is less than a mile away from Bowlan, whether on bike or foot explore the trail through woodlands along the Camel estuary to the popular resort of Padstow where it's time to refuel on some of Rick Stein's fish and chips before heading back to base.

The historic houses and gardens of Lanhydrock and Pencarrow are well worth a visit as are the pretty fishing villages of Port Isaac, of Doc Martin and Fisherman's Friends fame, and Padstow. When it's time to eat, this area is the jewel in Cornwall's foodie crown as it is home to many award-winning eateries and celebrity chefs.
