Situated just above Chynhalls Point on the headland above the picturesque village of Coverack and set in a former grand hotel, this well-appointed top floor apartment offers the perfect vantage point. The Lookout offers charming uninterrupted sea views from which to lose yourself whilst gazing out over the dramatic Cornish coastline and absorbing the ever-changing moods and colours or maybe even a grey seal or two which may be basking on the rocks nearby.

With both bedrooms overlooking acres of open heath and National Trust land, your morning wake-up call will be harmonious birdsong and the sweet sounds of the ocean. If you can tear yourselves away from the hypnotic sea views from the dual aspect living-room, step outside and explore the delights of the extensive shared lawns, perhaps settling yourself down in one of the secluded sitting-out areas to while away a moment or two with a good book. If you're feeling in the mood for burning off a bit of energy, indulge in a set or two of tennis on the all-weather tennis court.

The Headland overlooks Mears beach, a stunning unspoilt edge of Coverack, that is sandy at low tide. Discover wild ponies grazing the clifftops on the heath or Terence Coventry Sculpture Park, a little walk away. Have your map handy and explore! You can access the coastal path, picking up a circular route of the most remote parts of The Lizard leading to the sandy beaches of Downas and Lankidden Coves. The serpentine underwater landscape provides some of the best snorkelling in Cornwall.

Much of the The Lizard peninsula is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is a naturalist's and ornithologist's paradise with many species of birds both resident and migratory to spot. Look through the binoculars and you may just be rewarded with a glimpse of one of Britain's rarest breeding birds, the Cornish chough, which have been successfully reintroduced to the area after a long period of absence.

This area of the headland offers idyllic isolation yet the traditional fishing village of Coverack wraps around another lovely beach. It also has a vibrant harbour, pretty white-washed cottages, a pub and restaurants that are a short downhill stroll. The majority of the village's dwellings remain thatched, preserving the traditional beauty.
