Based in the heart of the ever-popular Cotswold town of Stow-on-the Wold, Evenlode offers a cosy and convenient base to escape for a romantic getaway, or simply to explore the many attractions the Cotswolds has to offer.

Arranged over three floors, this pretty cottage has undergone a complete transformation to cater for the requirements of the more discerning visitor.

Entering from the shared courtyard, the entrance halls guides you to the charming open-plan kitchen and living space, where you will find everything you need for a self-catered stay, including a wonderful range of appliances to create delicious meals, while your loved ones can relax in the inviting armchairs over a glass of wine whilst catching up on the day's activities.

On the first floor you will find the snug area, so if you are after some peace and solitude this is the most wonderful place to unwind. Kick back and relax in front of a contemporary and stylish electric fire and chose from a selection of books…don't forget to bring your favourite pyjamas and slippers!

On the second floor you will find an inviting bedroom, boasting a luxurious king-size bed, television and views out to the picturesque town. There is ample storage space and its own modern en suite shower-room.

While a further shower room rests on the first floor there is plenty of preparation space to get ready for your action-packed day.

Outside there is a pretty, shared courtyard, a perfect place to enjoy an al fresco breakfast or refreshing coffee to start the day to start your day. Babes in arms under the age of six months old and two well behaved dogs are welcome at Evenlode.

If you fancy getting out and about, then you can find all that Stow-on-the-Wold has to offer on your doorstep; believed to date back to the 10th Century when it was originally settled as a fortification due to its location, you can meander through the narrow streets, apparently created in this manner to control livestock sold at the regular fairs, to now find a selection of quaint shops and tea-rooms to sample.

You will also pick up on the importance of the town during the English Civil War; enjoy a refreshing pint in historic King's Head or a bite to eat in the Porch House.

If you travel slightly further afield, Bourton-on the-Water provides an extremely tranquil experience, known as the 'Venice of the Cotswolds', it provides its visitors with picturesque bridges to stroll across and a good host of attractions including the Cotswold Motoring Museum & Toy Collection, its very own Model Village and the excitement of the Birdland and Jurassic Journey providing a large park and gardens to explore housing over five hundred birds and thirty species of dinosaur, well worth a visit no matter your age!
