If you were looking for cottages like Fallows Leap, how about trying these:

Secluded and picturesque, Fallows Leap, nestled within Dartmoor National Park, is straight out of a storybook. Situated in 20 acres of private land, composed of broadleaf ancient woodland and rewilded fields exclusively for you to explore, this pastoral shepherd's hut is perfectly equipped for a magical break full of secluded private wild swimming, hedgerow foraging and late-night stargazing.

Entering the hut, you'll discover a cosy double bed with sumptuous bed linens and character details. As the sun streams through the wooden window shutters it makes for a glorious place to wake and enjoy a restful start to the day. Switch on the DAB Roberts radio and relax for a little while. To the other side of the hut, you'll find a quaint kitchenette furnished with a fridge, gas hob and wood-burning stove. Outside there's also a bucolic outdoor kitchen with gas hob, cool box, barbecue and a fire-pit with cooking plate. Between the two, you'll be spoilt for choice when cooking up a feast from your foraged finds.

Outside the hut there's a lavish shower-room, that is a converted horse trailer, complete with a double walk-in shower, a heated towel rail, hair dryer and fluffy towels, gowns and slippers, and a covered drying area for your swimwear and walking equipment. After a day of exploring the 20 acres of private pasture and ancient woodland this is the perfect place to refresh and relax. At night, the hut's exterior is lit by enchanting string bulbs. Furnished with wooden outdoor furniture and a fire-pit, you can sit out here as the sun sets, roasting marshmallows and watching as stars slowly appear.

Whilst staying at Fallows Leap, you'll have full use of the Polaris Ranger 1000cc ATV to help you get around the Ash Park Farm estate. So, don your walking boots, pack a flask, pick up one of the pocket walking maps within the hut, and drive down to The Hideaway, a woodland shelter made from local timber and equipped with a double hammock and fire-pit. From here you can wander along the bank of the River Taw to the arbour at Dipper's Bottom, a private spot with river access exclusively for you, where you can enjoy wild swimming in total seclusion. And should you be kept inside by showers, the hut is well stocked with playing cards, board games, binoculars, and books, plus there's full 4G mobile access. Here, you'll also find a telescope - perfect for a magical night of stargazing!
