Lodsworth Rural Retreat is situated in a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in the heart of the South Downs National Park in the village of Lodsworth halfway between Midhurst and Petworth. There are some wonderful walks from the doorstep and the cottage is a great base for events at nearby Cowdray Park and Goodwood.

Renovated in 2016, this end of terrace cottage has been designed to create a contemporary, light and airy space perfect for couples and friends looking to enjoy a peaceful and relaxing break.

On the ground floor is a small hallway, bathroom, utility-cupboard and an open plan living space with kitchen and dining area at one end and a comfortable sofa and wood-burning stove at the other. Please note there is no television in the living-area, this can be found in the mezzanine snug.

As you wind your way up the spiral staircase, there is a shower-room and two king-size bedrooms. There is a mezzanine snug which has views of the surrounding countryside and bedroom below. It's a relaxing space to read a book or watch television.

Double doors from the kitchen open out onto a small courtyard. On a warm summer morning enjoy a coffee whilst you plan your time here in Sussex.

The pretty village of Lodsworth has a pub (currently closed), a community shop and brewery. There is also another pub at Half Bridge Inn which is less than a mile away. The property is about half a mile north of the A272 and ideally situated for visiting the many wonderful attractions in West Sussex and the South Downs. Steeped in history, West Sussex offers plenty to see and do. Visit the stunning Cowdray House and Polo Park, Petworth House and Park (National Trust) or Amberley Museum and Heritage centre. There is also Parham House and Gardens, West Dean Gardens, Haslemere Museum, the Fishbourne Roman Palace or the Sussex Weald Museum.

Arundel Castle, which rises magnificently above a medieval town bristling with shops, galleries, and restaurants is also well worth a visit. Alternatively, visit the historic cathedral city of Chichester for shopping and the theatre. For car and equine enthusiasts, you may want to have a day at Goodwood, there's plenty of events to choose from including Glorious Goodwood, Goodwood Revival, or the Festival of Speed.
