Situated in a wonderfully rural location, Pond House is a spacious property with lots on offer for all of the family. Find your way along the farm track and arrive at this peaceful destination at the foothills of the Quantocks.

Pond House offers exceptionally comfortable living space downstairs, which is complemented by a galley-style kitchen and separate dining-room for those holiday meals. Adjacent to the kitchen is a handy utility-room, perfect for hanging coats and drying off dogs after long walks in the countryside. There is access to the small, private patio area via the utility-room, which is a lovely spot for a quiet drink in the evening.

Upstairs there are two large bedrooms, both with views across the farm and countryside. Sink back into comfy mattresses and soft linen, ensuring you of total relaxation. There is nothing to disturb you in this tranquil location, so switch off and enjoy. The bathroom can be accessed via the upstairs hallway and bedroom one, which offers great flexibility for guests. A second shower-room downstairs means that each bedroom has access to its own bath/shower-room.

Step out of the front door and close by on your right-hand side, there is a picturesque lily pond from where this cottage lends its name. There is so much on offer to you outside, including a separate enclosed garden and covered area where the owners have provided a table-tennis table - anyone for a family tournament? There is also a tennis court that you are welcome to use.

Vellow Wood Farm runs a sustainable pheasant shoot on some Saturdays, starting in November to the beginning of February, with additional vehicles and guests.

Pond House is excellently located for exploring both the countryside and coast. With Exmoor National Park and the Quantocks Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, you are spoilt for choice on natural areas to explore. Your four-legged friends will delight in all of the open spaces too; you will just have to work out whether you need your walking boots or cycling gear to keep up with them!

Somerset's own Jurassic Coast is also only a short drive away and there are plenty of wonderful beaches and fossil hunting spots just waiting for you to discover. Why not hop in the car to Bishops Lydeard and take the West Somerset Steam Railway that puffs its way to the coast, taking in some glorious sights along the way. Somerset is renowned for its local produce so be sure to stop in one of the many farm shops to pick up some treats. Should you want a break away from cooking then there are many traditional pubs to choose from.

Whether you choose to holiday during a warm summer, soaking up the rays of sunshine or cosying up in the autumn, Somerset and Pond House are waiting to welcome you.

Please be aware that Pond House is situated on a working farm and at times there will be livestock and machinery around the farm. It is important you take care around the lily pond, especially with children and dogs. The track leading to the property is steep in places. There are also four steps to enter the property. *A cot is not provided, bring your own travel cot.
