At meal times you can choose to dine either at the gorgeous refectory table in the kitchen/diner or sit in the Devon sunshine on the terrace outside. The kitchen table can seat eight guests and there are two extra chairs in the cupboard.
Head up the stairs to the first floor landing where you will find the first three bedrooms and the family bathroom.
Comfy bedroom 1 has a 'zip and link' bed so you can choose either twin beds or a super-king double. The bedrooms are beautifully furnished with comfort and relaxation in mind.

The deck, overlooking the garden, has views across the Torridge Estuary while three of the four bedrooms have wonderful views across the water to Instow (the beautiful beach at Northam Burrows is five minutes' drive away).
Appledore seafront is a few moments stroll from Sunnyside down narrow, winding streets of pastel-coloured cottages. On the quay you will find a gorgeous deli, several fabulous places to eat and the seasonal passenger ferry to take you across to the golden sands of Instow. Whether you are looking for a much-needed family holiday or a getaway with friends, Sunnyside has all you need for the perfect break.
Sunnyside is set at the top of a quaint cobbled street, surrounded by similar, beautifully kept properties (the house has use of a private parking space - a real bonus in Appledore). As is usual here, access to the front door is gained down a shared footpath. A stunning, original feature front door with stained glass window welcomes you into the hallway with a beautiful, tiled floor and traditional high ceilings. The sitting-room is perfect for relaxing after a busy day with comfy sofas and a Smart TV to catch up on the latest movie. The kitchen/diner has been beautifully crafted with all the equipment you'll need, including the all-important dishwasher. Gather everyone around the refectory table to chat about the day's adventures, (you will find additional chairs in the cupboard). The kitchen leads out onto the raised deck, perfect for al fresco dining with blissful views towards the estuary. Appledore is such a fabulous place for a getaway, with a great deli (ideal for picnic ingredients), shops and eateries, that you may never wish to leave the village. The local pub is the place to be on Monday evenings where you can sit with a drink and listen to the brass band on the harbourside. If you do decide to travel further afield why not take the seasonal passenger ferry over the water to Instow where you will find miles of white sandy, dog-friendly beaches, some good pubs and the Tarka Trail. Water sports lovers should head for the surfing beaches of Westward Ho! and Croyde where the Atlantic rollers provide endless fun. The picturesque village of Clovelly is a short drive away, with steep cobbled streets and a scenic harbour, a day can be spent here admiring the views. The market town of Bideford is close by with a good selection of eclectic shops and cafes. If you fancy a day trip to Lundy Island to see the wildlife, catch the seasonal passenger ferry from the quayside.
