As you step inside this beautifully crafted shepherd's hut you are greeted with a living-room with kitchen, dining and sleeping area. The kitchen is well proportioned with an electric hob, combination microwave, toaster, kettle, fridge and about everything else you can think of to rustle up your favourite meal.
The living-room has a two-seater sofa, chairs and a pull-out table and a cosy wood-burner for those chilly evenings. A TV has been provided in the bedroom area so you can watch your favourite shows in bed. There is a contemporary shower-room with shower and WC, perfect to freshen up after a day of exploring.
Outside there are several places to sit and a fire-pit where you can toast marshmallows whilst you sit back and listen to the sounds of mother nature. Keep a look out for the locals that frequently visit the garden, including rabbits, squirrels, moorhens, butterflies, bats, badgers, fallow deer, woodpeckers, birds of prey and many other bird species.
The surrounding countryside has views of the South Downs National Park and the mystical Chanctonbury Ring. Take a stroll into the quaint village of Ashurst which has a local pub and church. The picturesque and historic market town of Steyning has several independent shops and a Cobblestone Walk. Across from The Bakers Hut is the Bakehouse which is opened to the public on a pop-up basis periodically throughout the year and serves delicious homemade lunches and afternoon teas. All the bread, cakes and scones are handmade and cooked by the owners in a traditional hand-crafted wood-burning oven or trusty cottage Aga. There are many workshops throughout the year from festive chocolate making, flower arranging, bread making and autumn and festive wreath making workshops. Please speak to the owners direct to find out more and to book any classes.
