Nestled in the heart of Wiltshire's fabulous gentle countryside sits Nine Acres Barn, a homely rural retreat that will draw you in with its character and charm. Surrounded by rolling hills and peaceful woodland, the cottage's location is complemented by its comfortable, welcoming interior, which invites you and your loved ones to relax and enjoy a more sedate way of life with no distractions.

As you approach Nine Acres Barn down the small gravel track, you'll immediately get a sense of the stillness that surrounds this wonderful holiday home. There aren't any distractions to worry about, just a delightful cottage to call home. The same can be said for the barn's interior which has a distinct sense of home about it. Welcoming sofas sit atop rich wooden floorboards in the comfortable sitting-room, which is warmed by the cosy, orange glow of a splendid wood-burning stove. Plush faux fur rugs and quaint wooden furniture adorn the room with a sense of charm while a subtle flatscreen TV sits in the corner, ensuring entertaining nights in after big days out. The open plan kitchen/dining-room is a superb place to enjoy sociable evenings together with loved ones, sitting around the rustic wooden dining-table, enjoying a hearty supper prepared in the modern and well-equipped kitchen. You enter the front door into a handy utility-room that is great for storing your muddy walking boots, complete with a washing machine/drier and a small cloakroom.

Venture upstairs and you'll discover two wonderfully inviting bedrooms that provide the perfect place to retreat to after a long day of exploring. At the centre of bedroom one sits a lavish king-size bed which, with its plush cushions and quilted blankets, ensures a great night's sleep for those snuggled up inside it. Wake to the crisp morning sunlight creeping in through the charming wooden windows and head to the bedroom's fabulous en suite, complete with wash-basin, toilet and a large, inviting bathtub. Across the hall sits bedroom two, a wonderfully snug and intimate room which houses a charming small double bed to enjoy. This room also comes equipped with an en suite, providing a wonderful place to refresh yourself after a good night's sleep with views across the tranquil countryside surrounding Nine Acres Barn.

Patio doors lead you from the sitting-room out to the delightful outdoor dining-area which is perfect for enjoying the last of the evening sun while tucking into a delicious al fresco meal. A lovely private lawned area can be found at the rear of the barn, adorned with beautiful wildflowers and frequently visited by the local wildlife. Delve into your favourite book on the garden's delightfully unique wooden bench and feel your stresses simply wash away.

Babes in arms up to six months and children over 13 are accepted at Nine Acres Barn.

Once you've settled into your Wiltshire home-from-home, venture out and explore everything this beautiful county has to offer. The wonderful market town of Marlborough is only three miles away and has all the amenities that you'll need on your holiday. Further afield, the world-famous Stonehenge is a must-visit, with the world heritage centre offering a number of different ways to explore the breathtaking prehistoric monument making it well worth the price of admission.

For those looking to continue their history adventure, Lacock Abbey and its neighbouring village offer a magnificent trip back in time. Wondering through the Abbey's picturesque grounds is an absolute delight, and you may even recognise some of the corridors from many of the Harry Potter films. Nearby Devizes is another beautiful traditional English town to visit, with more than 500 listed buildings to discover in the historic market town.

After a long day exploring the local area, grab a bite to eat at The Oddfellows, a fabulous country pub with tasty menus just a 10 minute walk away.

Please note harvesting will take place from mid June to mid July (it's not a working farm all year round but there will be harvesting between these months), however the main farmhouse is located several miles away. Please take care as there are sloping ceilings on the first floor and on the gravel driveway as it is steep in places. *A cot is not provided, bring your own travel cot.
