The grand front door is up a short flight of steps and once over the threshold you will be welcomed by contemporary furnishings and gorgeous restored original features. The sitting-room to the front is spacious and light, with high ceilings and a warming wood-burner, perfect for cooler months. Comfy sofas beckon you to relax after a busy beach day and the Smart TV will entertain the family. The delightful separate snug area is perfect for a quiet read or perhaps to catch up if work calls. With two gorgeous armchairs and a fabulous, restored fireplace, everyone will want to sit and chill here. Penzance is the beating heart of far west Cornwall and the ideal base for exploring the surrounding glorious beaches, hidden coves and countryside. Should you wish to stay close to home, Penzance has a great selection of eclectic shops, eateries and miles of seafront promenade, indeed if you are looking for a car-free holiday then Mackerel Skies would be a great choice. The Jubilee Pool, a fabulous art-deco lido warmed by geothermals, is great for swimmers or perhaps you would prefer a walk along the seafront to St Michael's Mount - an iconic castle along a causeway where you catch a passenger boat when the tide is high. The pretty Cornish towns of Newlyn and Marazion are a gentle stroll away or, if you are looking to explore further afield, St Ives with its quaint cobbled streets, galleries and golden sandy beaches is a lovely place to spend the day. You can even catch a train here and enjoy the most picturesque of journeys along the coast. Water sports enthusiasts will look to head for the Atlantic rollers of Sennen and Hayle a surfer's paradise, and walkers will love the miles of coast path waiting to be discovered.
