Choose any day of the week to check in and experience the very best of Cotswold village life with a peaceful getaway at Little Maunditts Cottage. Nestled in a quiet lane in the charming and historic village of Sherston, this cosy cottage is a wonderful choice for families, or perhaps three couples, as each of the spacious bedrooms has its own en suite.

With a welcoming local pub, village store and wine shop within walking distance, experience the charm of peaceful village life at its very best. Step inside to discover the lovely open plan living-area; a fabulous social space for planning your holiday adventures and cooking up a delicious dinner. There's also another separate sitting-room, a lovely spot to sit back and relax. Perfect if you're looking for some well deserved me time! Open up the bi-fold doors and let the sunshine and warmth flood in during the summertime. And during the winter, you'll welcome the feel of warmth under your feet from the under-floor heating on the ground floor and in all the bathrooms. Truly a welcome treat after you've kicked off your wellies in the handy utility/laundry-room on a wet and windy day!

Head upstairs to discover the three lovely bedrooms, each with its own en suite and views either of the garden or down the lane towards the pretty village church. Bedroom one has a super-king bed which can be made up as a twin if you prefer, Bedroom two has a double bed and Bedroom three has a king-size bed. There's something rather special about each room; whether it's the walk-in double shower, pretty chandelier lights or luxurious four-poster beds. Oh, and the crisp white linens and quiet location make quite the recipe for a restful sleep.

Outside, the spacious courtyard garden is the ideal spot for some al fresco dining, enjoying the sunshine or a pre-dinner drink before heading out to the friendly local pub. Wander up the 'box lined' gravel path on leisurely afternoons to find the charming swing chair - a lovely spot to admire the topiary in the pretty, south facing garden and get lost in the pages of a good book.

Be sure to keep an eye out for the resident mice sharing the cottage with you, (not real ones of course!) seek them out as they are hiding all around the cottage…. how many can you spot?

The village of Sherston was voted by The Times newspaper as being the fifth most desirable place to live in the UK, with its elegant wide main street, excellent pub, wine shop and friendly village shop complete with a post office. The Sherston area is perfect for exploring the south Cotswolds on foot or by car. There are fabulous walks, both leaving directly from the cottage or a short drive away and there are plenty of guidebooks and maps on hand to help you choose a route.

The Stroud Valleys, Bath, Cirencester, the Marlborough Downs, Castle Combe and Lacock are all easily accessible and it is a scenic drive to the charming (but much busier) popular Cotswold tourist destinations of Stow-In-The-Wold, Bourton-On-The-Water and Moreton-In-Marsh. Castle Combe has been voted the prettiest village in England and Lacock, almost entirely owned by the National Trust, is regularly used as a film location - amongst it's credits are Harry Potter, War Horse, Doctor Dolittle and the drama series Pride and Prejudice and Cranford.

With its picturesque setting and woodland Westonbirt, the National Arboretum, is just under four miles away. Perfect for a walk in all weathers, maybe try the Gruffalo Trail, one of the many outdoor summer concerts or the illuminated Christmas Trail, Westonbirt has something to explore at any time of year.

Little Maunditts Cottage is conveniently close to many local annual events such as Badminton Horse Trails, Malmesbury Beer and Sausage Festival, both held in May, the international Womad festival near Malmesbury in July and the Tetbury Woolsack races and Fairford Air Show, both in August. The Bath Christmas market and Highgrove garden tours are always popular. These are just a few of the abundance of things to see and do during your stay at Little Maunditts Cottage - you may well find you need to come back for a return visit!
