KingWelcome to Rafters Loft, a very sweet, cosy cottage nestled in the Cornish countryside, next door to the friendly owners' home. A simply lovely choice for a romantic escape for two, this wonderful dog-friendly hideaway is perfectly placed for exploring the unforgettable north Cornwall coast.
With reverse level living, take one step up to the front door to discover the gorgeous bedroom with its sumptuous king-size bed, ideal for those leisurely lie-ins, and a fabulous en suite shower-room. Head upstairs to the beautiful open plan living space, the sloping ceilings creating an intimate feel and the large windows taking advantage of the rolling Cornish countryside. A lovely and light area, the skylight windows allow the sunshine to flood in; ideal for spending slow mornings admiring the countryside views, coffee in hand, and planning the day's adventures.
Outside, there's a private patio which is stepped in places perfect for soaking up the sunshine during the day, al fresco dining and gathering around the fire-pit at night under the starlit sky. There is even an outdoor cold water shower for rinsing those sandy toes.
The spectacular walks and unforgettable beauty of the Cornish coast path is just a short walk from Rafters Loft. Trust us, you will never get bored of these views! We also recommend wandering down the hill from Rafters Loft through the very pretty Water Lane, finishing up at The Peterville Inn for a delicious meal.
The laid-back Cornish village of St Agnes is just a five/ten minute walk, with its breathtaking stretches of golden sands and unbelievably blue seas. While away blissful days wandering around the village, with its fabulous collection of places to eat and drink and independent shops. Some of our top tips for dining out include The Tap House, Taste and The Driftwood Spars.
The popular beaches of Porthtowan, Perranporth and Chapel Porth are all nearby, and make for a great day out, whether you're wandering along the coast path, dipping your toes in the sea or perched on the sand getting lost in a good book. We also recommend spending dreamy summer evenings watching the sun go down with a fish and chip supper…the best way to end a day on the north Cornwall coast! Your four-legged friend will love wandering along the coast paths on their Cornwall holiday, with plenty more dog-friendly adventures to be had throughout the county.
Further afield, the popular seaside town of St Ives, the charming town of Falmouth and the beautiful shopping city of Truro are just a short drive away.
