Cooking up meals will be a treat as the kitchen is full of mod-cons. You can really have a fabulous holiday in this property, whatever the season. When it's warm open up the front doors from the living space and feel the rays of the sun as you relax in this very peaceful spot. Autumn and winter bring crisp, country walks and a return to the cosy wood-burner and super-comfy sofas where you can curl up and hide away.

There are three bedrooms to choose from, each with gorgeously soft linen and homely touches to ensure your well-earned rest is as comfortable as possible. With nothing to disturb you here but the sound of snuffling wildlife you are sure to totally switch off and relax.

Outside you have a private garden which offers the ideal space to light up the fire-pit barbecue on those summer days. Once the evenings draw in, snuggle up under a blanket and marvel at the stars - there is nothing to pollute the skies in this area which makes for a twinkling display.

Lower Cothay Lodge is excellently positioned to explore the beautiful areas of west Somerset and east Devon. Wellington is the closest town and here you will find independent shops, cafes and just south is the famous Wellington Monument that boasts extensive views across the Blackdown Hills, Taunton Vale and Exmoor National Park. Similarly, in the nearby hamlets and villages there are lovely country pubs and cafes to visit. You will be truly spoilt for the countryside that envelops Lower Cothay Lodge and have the benefit of being able to go on glorious walks, right from your doorstep without having to get in the car.

Exmoor is within a 25 minute drive and is a beautifully rugged expanse of moorland and wooded areas, dotted with pretty picnic spots and fantastic pubs in unspoilt villages. For holiday memories to remember, book a trip on the West Somerset Steam Railway that trundles along from Bishops Lydeard to Minehead, taking in some beautiful countryside and coastal vistas along the way. Be sure to stop off at Dunster to see the imposing National Trust Castle and medieval Yarn Market.

In under an hour you could be at two different coastlines; the east Devon Jurassic Coast, or the west Somerset coast, both with their own sections of the South West Coast Path. There are areas with sandy beaches so you can tick off building sandcastles from your holiday 'to do' list.

Whether you are looking to use Lower Cothay Lodge as a base for your Somerset and Devon adventures, or if you simply want to hunker down in this gorgeous property and totally switch off, you are sure to be very happy with your choice.
