Tucked away in the heart of the picturesque and historical fishing village of Newlyn is this cute little retreat - a lovingly restored cottage perfect for small families or couples. Arty and characterful with beautiful little details throughout, Crab Pot Cottage has been lovingly furnished to make it a sweet and traditional holiday home in a timeless Cornish fishing village.

Step inside to find plenty of original features and lots of charm. The sitting-room is a joy and has plenty of comfy seating and a wood-burner, perfect for cosy evenings in catching up on the day's adventures. The unique kitchen is full of character and whilst there is no microwave, there is a gas cooker for cooking up that delicious holiday feast.

Whitewashed cottage stairs (steep and narrow in places) take you upstairs, where you will find two beautiful bedrooms. The first bedroom is a very pretty and calming room with a sumptuous king-size bed - a wonderful spot for lingering a little longer in the morning with a cup of coffee. The simply lovely second bedroom has a very cosy single bed, the lower part of a bunk-bed (the top bunk is not suitable for use due to the access). The stylish bathroom has a luxurious roll-top bath for a blissful soak at the end of the day, however please note there is no shower.

Outside, there is a lovely bench which is a great space for catching a few sun rays and enjoying your chosen holiday read with a glass of wine and watching the world pass by.

Newlyn is fantastic to visit at any time of year and is helped by some rather fabulous eateries including Mackerel Sky, a laid-back wine bar serving the most delicious fish dishes, the Tolcarne Inn with its Michelin starred chef and the amazing cinema 'The Newlyn Filmhouse'. Created from an old fish merchant's store, you could be forgiven for thinking you're in a city, with the fantastic bar and gorgeous eclectic interiors.

The quaint village of Mousehole is within walking distance. It's only a mile and a half away and a stunning walk along the coastal road.

Many famous artists have taken inspiration from Newlyn, and art lovers should visit the Newlyn Art Gallery, enjoy a leisurely mooch around the gallery followed by a delicious Cornish cream tea in the cafe afterwards overlooking Newlyn green.

Around this area there are many wonderful walks from Newlyn. The coastal path to Lamorna is one of the prettiest you will find anywhere in Cornwall. There is also a good bus service from the town which can help you explore the area as well. The open top bus is a fun experience from Newlyn taking you all around the peninsula.

If you can try and take in a trip to the world famous Minack Theatre, dramatically perched on the cliffs above Porthcurno, it's well worth a visit and even more magical if you can see a production or concert whilst there, but don't forget to take a warm snuggly blanket as it can get very chilly.

Oozing with traditional charm, Crab Pot Cottage provides modern living in timeless surroundings, and is the perfect choice for a couple or small family looking for coastline fun, within walking distance of the town and sea.
