A warm coastal welcome awaits you at gorgeous Blue Cottage. Located in a peaceful area of Carlyon Bay, only five minutes from the beach and the coastal footpath; with a championship golf course right on your doorstep and easy access to the historic harbour of Charlestown, this stylish retreat is the perfect setting for your holiday adventures in glorious south Cornwall.
Flawlessly designed throughout, the luxury coastal inspired interiors truly complement the location, creating a wonderful holiday haven whatever the time of year. The modern kitchen with its retro-style fridge/freezer, Belfast sink and large range-style cooker will delight the budding chefs and the breakfast-bar is just the spot to grab a quick bite before heading out for the day.
For celebration meals or relaxed suppers, the dining-area beckons, after which you can chill out in the sitting-area as you plan your adventures for the following day. There's a separate snug area for those who might want to have some me time and whilst separate in feeling, all the areas are of an open plan design ensuring you really do make the most of your time together. Patio doors lead from the snug and sitting-area outside to the wrap around terrace and garden, a wonderful oasis of calm perfect for simply lounging in the sun, firing up the barbecue on a balmy evening or enjoying an early morning cuppa with not a care in the world.
Getting down to practicalities, there's also a really useful utility/boot room, accessed both inside and out, with ample safe storage for surfboards, bikes and golf clubs for those who like to get active.
Bedtime will be a delight with four bedrooms beautifully presented and sea views to enjoy; with a family bathroom, a separate family shower-room and one bedroom with an en suite shower-room there's plenty of options for bathing.
From this enviable location there is so much on offer right on your doorstep you really are spoilt for choice. For a day at the seaside, you only have to take the five minute stroll down the hill to family-friendly Crinnis Beach and as this stretch of coastline is littered with great beaches and coves you can always mix it up a bit.
If you want to put your handicap to the test, there's the championship golf course at Carlyon Bay Hotel just across the road, and for those who don't know their woods from their irons, indulge in a day at their spa or even a scrummy afternoon tea - highly recommended.
The pretty harbourside village of Charlestown, with its historic tall ships, pretty cottages, small selection of shops, shipwreck centre, pubs and restaurants is quite charming and within walking distance, and the world renowned Eden Project with its iconic biomes is easily accessible, as is what has to be the best example of a Cornish garden, The Lost Gardens of Heligan.
The trendy sailing town of Fowey offers up stylish boutiques, galleries and a great choice of places to eat and drink and is a short distance along the coast and for those who want to get on their bike, head out along the Clay Trails around St Austell or the network of trails at Lanhydrock.
