A cute romantic bolthole for two, The Cart House is perfectly positioned in Veryan, described as the loveliest inland village in Cornwall. As soon as you arrive in the area and drive through the five unique thatched Round Houses which mark the entrance to the village, you will realise you are somewhere special.

There is a wonderful garden where you can sit and enjoy the peace and quiet. Access to The Cart House is across the owners' rear patio but it faces away so you are assured a quiet and relaxing holiday. This semi-detached property is conveniently all on one level and the double height ceiling with exposed beams makes the open plan living space feel light and airy.

The kitchen is well-equipped with everything you will need on your holiday including the all important dishwasher, and the dining-table and chairs are ideal for indoor dining during cooler months. The comfy sofa is the perfect place to relax after a day out and about exploring, that is of course if you can tear yourself away from the fabulous garden with its separate sitting areas, you can choose either sun or shade and it has the most amazing brick-built barbecue.

At the rear of the property the bedroom is a peaceful and relaxing room with a comfy king-size double bed and gorgeous furnishings. The en suite wet-room fills with light from the Velux window and has a lovely shower, perfect after a day at the beach.

Whatever time of year you plan your Cornish escape, The Cart House is the perfect bijou pied-a-terre for a week-long stay or short getaway.

Veryan is a beautiful village on the Roseland Peninsula with everything you need for a fabulous holiday, the friendly New Inn is a two minute walk away and Pendower and Carne beaches are very close by. The Roseland is renowned as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and the most stunning countryside and coastline is virtually on your doorstep.

Portscatho is a short car ride away where you will find one of the most unspoilt seaside villages in Cornwall. Make time to seek out the Hidden Hut overlooking Porthcurnick Beach where you sit side by side on wooden benches and relish the freshest of local produce (booking is essential for feast nights), or perhaps travel a little further afield to explore the bustling harbourside town of St Mawes where you can enjoy fine dining or fish and chips straight out of the paper sitting on the harbour wall.

A little further away the Eden Project invites you to explore the mighty biomes or perhaps you'd rather take a stroll around the Lost Gardens of Heligan, only discovered 30 years ago after being lost to ruins after WWI and now lovingly restored to its former glory.

The coast path encompasses the Roseland Peninsula and heads both west and east, walkers will rejoice at the beauty of the coastline here and spend days discovering secret coves, hidden beaches and crystal-clear waters.

However you plan to spend your holiday time, you are assured of a restful and relaxing time here at The Cart House.
