Perched on a hill within the heart of the picturesque harbourside village of Mousehole, charming Thimble Cottage is a stunning retreat with sea views from every room. This beautiful semi-detached period cottage has been renovated to the highest standard yet retains all its original charm and character.

Step into the cottage through the cute stable-door into the sleek contemporary kitchen which boasts granite worktops, integrated appliances and traditional slate flooring. Three little steps leads you down into the cosy sitting/dining-room which features modern furnishings and a toasty wood-burner in the granite fireplace, perfect for those chillier days. Upstairs you will find the stylish double bedroom, where you can wake each morning to a far reaching vista across Mount's Bay. The super indulgent bathroom has a sumptuous free-standing bath for soaking in after a day of gallivanting around Cornwall.

To the rear of the cottage, steep steps lead up to the terrace, where you can enjoy the salty sea air and superb views across the bay. Your location is so special that with a hop, skip and a jump out of the front door you can be at the harbourside enjoying the sandy beach and bustle of Mousehole's glorious harbour and watching the fishing boats bobbing away.

Thimble Cottage is perfectly positioned for spectacular coastal walks and the harbour, restaurants, pubs and galleries are all within strolling distance. Around this area there are many wonderful walks from Mousehole. The coastal path to Lamorna is one of the prettiest you will find anywhere in Cornwall, or for a less energetic walk a meander to Newlyn to buy fresh fish from the numerous shops there. There is also a good bus service from the village which can help you explore the area as well. The open top bus is a fun experience from Newlyn taking you all around the peninsula.

If you can take in a trip to the world famous Minack Theatre, dramatically perched on the cliffs above Porthcurno, it's well worth a visit and even more magical if you can see a production or concert whilst there, but don't forget to take a warm snuggly blanket as it can get very chilly. Art lovers should visit the Newlyn Art Gallery, and of course the Tate and Barbara Hepworth Museum and Sculpture Garden both in St Ives. St Ives is best reached by train as the scenery along the way is breathtaking.

Foodies have an abundance of choice in Mousehole. A short stroll away from Thimble Cottage is 2 Fore Street and the restaurant in The Old Coastguard hotel (which overlooks the bay) is truly stunning. The Ship Inn (just around the corner) is the traditional Cornish village pub. If you don't fancy cooking breakfast then head over to Hole Foods Deli overlooking the harbour, their traditional Cornish breakfast is the best around. If you fancy treating yourself to a very special cream tea head over to the Rock Pool cafe, located just before The Old Coastguard hotel, but don't forget jam first, you are in Cornwall after all.

Mousehole is Cornwall at its absolute best and is fast becoming one of its most popular destinations.
