The shepherd's hut offers complete privacy owing to its position in your own personal orchard that looks out over the rolling Devonshire hills.

Not only do you have the joy of the shepherd's hut, but the addition of a separate kitchen/diner and shower-room that are located just a few steps from the hut, by your own parking space. The kitchen has all you need to create a feast or whip up that all-important cooked breakfast. You have your own fully fitted shower-room to refresh you after a full day of adventure. Settle down on the decking, take in the breathtaking view and enjoy a glass of something sparkly as the sun slowly begins to set.

The facilities inside Little Modbury Lookout offer everything for your glamping experience. There is a log-burner to keep you nice and snug on those slightly cooler evenings, this creates the perfect romantic ambience for a cosy evening in, playing cards and switching off from reality. With stylish furnishings and quirky features such as the traditional raised gypsy-style bed, you will find yourself relaxing as soon as you arrive.

There are numerous bridle paths which are accessible through the gate at the bottom of the orchard. When it comes to a car-free holiday you have come to the right place, but if you do want to venture further afield you are spoilt for choice. Little Modbury Lookout is close to the glorious South Hams, you have adventure coupled with idyllic unspoilt countryside in every direction. The Georgian town of Modbury is less than two miles away and other South Hams hotspots such as Dartmouth, Totnes, Salcombe, Kingsbridge and Bigbury-on-Sea are only a short car journey away. These idyllic villages and towns all boast their own unique charm and character, and all have something very special to offer.

For the adventure seekers, you have also come to the right place. Fancy a spot of paddle boarding, body boarding or perhaps kayaking? These activities are catered for in abundance throughout the south coast. Bigbury-on-Sea is itself, one of the jewels in the South Hams' crown. Taking a trip over to Burgh Island is a must, especially if you leave it until the tide is in, as the sea-tractor ferry service is a fabulous adventure. Burgh Island offers many attractions, one of which is a delightful cream tea surrounded by beauty and history - what a fabulous mix!

For the avid golfers amongst you, Bigbury Golf Club is happy to welcome Classic Cottages' guests, therefore why not put your golfing skills to the test on this glorious course (at the cost of the usual club fees).
