Perranuthnoe is perfect for those looking to escape the crowds and enjoy the peace and quiet that Cornwall has to offer. The very popular village pub the 'Victoria Inn' is thought to be the oldest recorded Inn in Cornwall. Full of charm and character, booking in advance is recommended as it gets super busy! Just a hop, skip and a jump away is the family-friendly sandy beach, spend leisurely days building sandcastles before heading back - stopping off for an ice cream in one of the laid-back cafes on your way.

This quintessential village is secluded enough to ensure a peaceful stay, but close enough to the bustling town of Marazion if you fancy a livelier atmosphere. Marazion is Cornwall's oldest market town, with an array of things to see and do. This charming seaside town is undoubtably most renowned for being home to the fairy tale castle at St Michael's Mount. Become king and queen for the day, and if the tide is low stroll along the causeway where the legendary giant Cormoran once walked. If the tide is high, then hop onto one of the many boats that travel back and forth and if you are lucky you may hear the boatsman tell a tale or two about smugglers and shipwrecks. You can easily spend a fun-filled day here exploring the castle, gardens and harbour and finishing off the day with a local cream tea in the castle tea shop - don't for-get it's jam first, you are in Cornwall after all.

Perranuthnoe is perfect for walking holidays and exploring the rugged coastline, so don't forget those walking boots. A stunning walk is along the coast path from Perranuthnoe to Prussia Cove, this miniature seaside haven spells pure escapism.
