Step away from everyday life into Sunnyside, a perfect get away from it all for families or group of friends. Delightfully homely Sunnyside is a lovely, detached Cornish house which is ideally located for exploring west Cornwall's dramatic coastline, beaches and breathtaking coastal walks.
Located in the heart of the seaside village of Praa Sands and only moments from the beach, this house has many qualities and is a fabulous family-sized holiday 'home-from-home'. The entrance hall sets the scene with lovely wooden floors, making an impressive space indeed.
Set over two floors, this deceptively large property will surprise you. On the ground floor the living space includes a lovely bright and sunny dining-area, well-equipped kitchen-area and super useful utility-room. You will also find the family bedroom which shares the family shower-room (located on the ground floor). The comfortable sitting-room has a toasty wood-burner perfect for those chillier evenings and perhaps for snuggling up in front of to watch a Sky Movie, and patio doors which open onto a private lawned garden.
Outside there's oodles of space to play, soak up the sun or just sit quietly and plan the days ahead. Steps take you up to the lawn and garden-area which has a table, sofa and chairs in the summer and is perfect for al fresco drinks before supper. Upstairs you will find three further bedrooms, including the main bedroom (with en suite), a very pretty double, twin bedroom and family shower-room.
Praa Sands is your ultimate escape, and there's no denying it's one of the best places in Cornwall to enjoy rest and relaxation or learning to surf and having an adventure. Nestled on west Cornwall's furthermost tip, situated on the edge of turquoise waters and golden sands life in Praa Sands centres very much around the beach. As soon as you arrive, you will be struck by how white the sand is, it can sometimes look like glitter. Local stories tell us that the light sand is made from seashells that have been worn away by wave action over millions of years. The mile-long sandy beach is backed by sheltering sand dunes, perfect for our younger guests you can spend carefree days building sandcastles, splashing about in the shoreline and there's even several yummy ice cream shops for that very important afternoon treat!
Just ten minutes' drive away is the lovely harbour village of Porthleven. Centred around the harbour, it boasts an array of cafes, restaurants and galleries and exudes a chilled, relaxed atmosphere. Porthleven is the most southerly working port in the UK, with fishing boats operating out of the harbour. This makes the town a great spot to enjoy some delicious seafood, straight from the fishing boats to the restaurants, it couldn't be fresher! Famed for its amazing choice of restaurants such as Kota Kai (great for families), The Square, Kota and Michael Caines Harbourside Refuge plus a host of others. It also has a great beach, part of which is dog-friendly all year around.
If you do fancy exploring further afield, then why not head towards Marazion which is only five miles away. Enjoy a fun filled day eating local pasties, learning to surf or exploring the many hidden rock pools. A day out in Marazion is not complete without a visit to the iconic St Michael's Mount, however you do need to book tickets in advance as it gets so busy, especially in the summer months.
Sunnyside offers a wonderful holiday for the whole family, and with stunning sunsets and starry nights this flourishing coastal property has it all for a truly memorable holiday.
