Venturing out in any direction, you are guaranteed to arrive at one of south Devon's many hotspots. Only a short car journey away you have some of Devon's most popular sandy beaches, from the eclectic town of Totnes to the Cathedral City of Exeter, and within minutes away from your front door you have the fabulous and very popular town of Ashburton.

Wherever your day takes you, returning to the beautiful Blackberry Lodge is the perfect way to end the day. Spark up the barbecue on your raised decking and enjoy a touch of al fresco dining whilst watching the day come to a close. Or perhaps just enjoy a glass of something tasty whilst watching the flurry of activity take place on and over the large pond. There is something very relaxing about watching the coots, moorhens and ducks going about their business in their harmonious surroundings.

With uninterrupted views and magnificent scenery of the rolling countryside which surrounds you, accompanied by the specimen shrubs and trees which line the grounds of Yolland House, you will feel a world away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. However, should it be activity you are seeking, you are surrounded by attractions and natural beauty spots from almost every angle.

River Dart Country Park is under half a mile away and the pretty town of Ashburton is nearby offering numerous delightful eateries, welcoming watering holes, fabulous artisan bakers and designer shops which will leave you returning regularly. For the budding chefs of the party or those who just enjoy cooking, Ashburton boasts a fabulous cookery school which is certainly worth a visit.

Not forgetting you are located on the doorstep of breathtaking Dartmoor. Spending a day (or three) exploring the moors and its fabulous inhabitants is a treat within itself, however planning a spot of lunch in one of the numerous pubs or cafes which are scattered throughout the moors makes your day even more enjoyable.
