KingSet within a quiet residential area in the coastal delight that is St Ives, this comfortable detached house offers a wonderful oasis of holiday haven waiting to be enjoyed at any time of the year. Dreslan is a bright, spacious and welcoming home located at the top of St Ives. The house is well thought out and gives a pleasant, real home-from-home feel. With parking for two cars, outdoor garden space and only a 20 minute walk from the town centre and fabulous beaches, it makes for a wonderful base.
Set over two floors, this deceptively large property will surprise you. On the ground floor the living space includes a lovely bright and sunny dining-area, well-equipped kitchen and super-useful utility-area. You will also find a bedroom which has a versatile 'zip and link' bed which shares the family bathroom (located on the ground floor) The comfortable sitting/dining-room has patio doors which open onto the private patio and lawned garden.
Outside there's oodles of space to play, soak up the sun or just sit quietly and plan the days ahead. Enjoy a snooze on the loungers or read a book in the garden area, which has a table and chairs and sofa seating in the summer and is perfect for al fresco meals. Here, you will also find a weatherproof table-tennis table, along with bats and balls. Perfect for a fun-filled afternoon! Upstairs you will find two further bedrooms each boasting comfortable beds to snuggle into after a day filled with adventure.
This lovely house is a 20 minute walk from the centre of St Ives, (due to its location it's a rather steep walk on the way up). You will never tire of things to do in this charming seaside retreat - its maze of higgledy-piggledy cobbled streets are filled with some of the best restaurants, cafes, shops and galleries Cornwall has to offer. For any art lover, they will be well aware of the legacy that St Ives has made on the art world, with its numerous art galleries including the famous Tate St Ives, Barbara Hepworth Museum and Bernard Leach Pottery.
It's increasingly become a popular destination to travel to and it's not hard to see why people fall in love with it and come back year after year. A quaint town surrounded by beaches with sand so golden and sea so blue it could be mistaken for the Caribbean. The beaches have become a favourite for many of the local surfers and the surf schools at Porthmeor offer the opportunity for you to try it out for yourself. Or heading to the harbour you can hop on a boat and take a trip out to see the seals. A town where you will want for nothing and everything is just on your door.
If you fancy a day out why not head further west along the coast and you'll find stunning Sennen Cove with its huge beach and spectacular waves - perfect for surfers. A little further around the coast you'll find iconic Land's End. The fishing harbour of Newlyn is a 20 minute drive away, and the quaint village of Mousehole is definitely worth a visit. Marazion, with famous St Michael's Mount, is also an easy drive along the coast road.
Dreslan truly does provide a wonderful retreat for a family or maybe a couple wanting just that extra bit of space to enjoy and reconnect with one another.
