Nestled in an enviable elevated position on the Cornwall and Devon border with views across to Dartmoor, Badger Barn at Netherbridge Lake is the perfect location for a year-round family holiday. This beautifully presented stone barn, with exposed stonework and beams, has been sympathetically converted into a comfortable, stylish and welcoming holiday home on this former working farm. You are surrounded by countryside and fields with grazing livestock which will greet you on your morning walks around the lakes.

Step through the double doors into the light contemporary open plan living and dining area, ideal for spending time with family and good friends. After a day out exploring, return home to sink into one of the comfy sofas around the feature fireplace for an evening chatting over the adventures you have had and are yet to come.

When it is time to eat, rustle up a snack or three course dinner in the stylish and well-equipped kitchen-area and then choose whether to dine inside or outside on the terrace with those stunning views; the choice is yours. As you feel your eyes closing, climb the wooden stairs to find one of the two comfy bedrooms before slipping under the covers for a good night's sleep.

Badger Barn is one of a selection of fabulous properties at this wonderful location including neighbouring Otter Barn (4582), Kingfisher Barn (4584), Swift Barn (4585) and Swallow Barn (4586) so if you are looking to holiday as a larger group, you can book all five properties together. (Tier restrictions allowing).

Guests are free to wander the seven acres of shared grounds surrounding the barns to take in the fresh county air and maybe spot local wildlife or your woolly neighbouring sheep who may be grazing quietly in the lakeside paddock. Guests can fish for carp in one of the well-stocked lakes, or for those interested in more tranquil pursuits find yourself a place to sit by the side and just relax in this peaceful setting.

There is something here for guests of all ages and whatever the time of the year; enjoy a tasty picnic lunch on one of the tables surrounding the lakes or spend time watching the ducks who share this wonderful location. Take a short walk to the banks of the River Tamar nearby but be sure to bring your walking boots or wellies as when exploring your surroundings or experiencing the delights of Dartmoor and Bodmin Moor the weather cannot be guaranteed!

Whilst in the area why not pay a visit to the gorgeous north Cornwall coast and its many beaches, including Bude, Widemouth and Polzeath. There's plenty of charming towns and villages to explore, including the pretty fishing village of Boscastle and the fascinating Tintagel, a great place to discover myths and legends. The historic local town of Launceston is also very close by should you wish to browse the shops, pick up a treat in a cafe or pay a visit to the Norman castle.
