Chagford is just three miles away and will treat you to several pubs, all offering a very warm Devon and Dartmoor welcome. You also have a wide range of shops and boutiques along with facilities such as public tennis courts and an open-air swimming pool at your disposal.
Should you wish to travel a little further afield you have the beautiful Cathedral City of Exeter a short car journey away (around 19 miles), this fabulous city offers a great day out should you fancy a touch of shopping followed by a spot of fine dining, you are truly spoilt for choice on both.
Okehampton has the remains of the largest, medieval castle in Devon. Set within spectacular grounds, it is well worth a visit.
