This rural idyll is an escape from it all; through leafy lanes on the outskirts of the village of St Keverne on the Lizard peninsula a tranquil retreat is waiting for you.
Little Gwinges offers a warm welcome and from the comfort and stylish furnishings of the living space with French doors opening onto the private enclosed garden, to the beautifully furnished bedrooms, is the perfect home-from-home. The lovely owners live on site with their three dogs; they are happy to provide any local information but of course will leave you in peace to enjoy your holiday.
The owners have thoughtfully designed the property to ensure there is plenty of space for everyone, the large kitchen has a breakfast table to sit around planning your next adventure. The light sitting-area has comfortable seating for everyone to relax on, enjoy a film on a cosy winter evening or in the warmer months open the French windows and bring the outside in. The three bedrooms offer flexible accommodation; the ground floor bedroom can also be used as a home office or a games-room for the children (or adults) in the party, and there are two further bedrooms on the first floor.
The private sunny garden is a wonderful place to dine al fresco or soak up the calming sounds of the countryside. When the sun starts to go down you can toast marshmallows around the fire-pit, bringing back those nostalgic childhood memories and creating new ones with your family.
Little Gwinges is named after a treacherous rock off Manacle Point, the Manacles make for amazing diving amongst the shipwrecks and if you fancy this you can visit the dive centre at Porthkerris.
St Keverne is only a short walk away by either road or footpath and this friendly village has plenty on offer from a local butcher, two pubs, bakery, fabulous restaurant and local shop, and of course the weekly fish and chip van that isn't to be missed. There is plenty to explore on foot with great footpaths all around, perhaps take a walk to Roskilly's for a fabulous ice cream or wander the coast path to Porthallow or Coverack, where you will find amazing views and a pretty beach.
Little Gwinges is the perfect package for a small family or two couples wanting to explore this ruggedly beautiful and unspoilt area, whether for a week or two or a short break.
