Primrose Barn has been lovingly restored by its owners with the finished result and attention to detail offering a wonderful 'wow' factor that will not disappoint upon your arrival! The barn is in the hamlet of Penquit; a short car drive away and you can arrive at one of the renowned beaches along the south coast or pull on those walking boots and enjoy the Puffin Billy track on Dartmoor, one of the many walks on offer in the area. The owners live next door and will be sure to pop around to make sure you have settled in but will carefully respect your privacy throughout your stay, they have even created a separate driveway to make sure you are fully self-contained.
Primrose Barn is the perfect place to recharge from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, at the same time an ideal base to explore the wonders of the South Hams or even the neighbouring county of Cornwall! With a train station in nearby Ivybridge, you can sit back and enjoy the scenic route all the way down to St Ives - a fabulous day out! One thing is for sure, whatever the day holds you will relish coming back to this luxury barn which will soon become a place that you will want to return to year after year!
On the ground floor your toes will be warmed by the cosy under-floor heating and for those autumnal days the wood-burner will add another warm glow. The open plan living area is all on one level along with a fabulous double bedroom and a walk-in wet-room should you need an accessible room option. The kitchen area has been expertly fitted and fully equipped ready for you to cook up a storm should the mood take you. The open plan living area has been carefully laid out as a space for all the family to come together and enjoy, with a breakfast bar, a large dining-table for long lingering holiday meals and a laid-back seating area for movie nights and family gatherings.
Primrose Barn offers a memorable holiday in a beautiful part of the world, no detail has been overlooked, from a games console for the younger members of the family to fresh coffee from the Nespresso machine which can be enjoyed out on the patio whilst the rest of the family sleep. Each en suite bedroom has also been thoughtfully designed and furnished, from luxurious mattresses and made to measure blackout curtains. No expense has been spared in creating the perfect self-catering holiday with the owners' promise to restore the barn being well and truly achieved!
South Devon is renowned for the outdoor life! Jump in the car and within 20 minutes you can be arriving at one of the many golden sandy beaches that this coast has been blessed with. There are a few local well-known ones that are also dog-friendly and offer a quieter day - be sure to check your welcome folder for more information.
If the beach is not on the agenda, then the scenery and beauty of the coast can also be enjoyed walking the coast paths, a favourite being the circular walk out of Newton Ferrers and be sure to visit one of the well-known local pubs for a refreshing Devon cider or fish and chip supper.
If you come to this truly spectacular part of the world a simple must has to be a day enjoying Dartmoor National Park.
