Northcott Barton retains many original features, has a lovely flow and benefits from views out over the grazing farm animals to the beautiful countryside beyond. Although the cottage is situated on the owners' farm you have your own private parking area in front of the cottage with an enclosed and private garden to the rear. The cottage and gardens face away from the main farmhouse so you are not overlooked and offering total privacy, peace and quiet.
This semi-detached cottage offers a great all year around retreat. The main sitting-room boasts a wonderful wood-burner set in the original inglenook fireplace, a perfect room for the family to come together on those winter nights. During the summer months the door to the back garden can be open for the children to play happily, the garden is both secure and child friendly, the family dog will also be happy in this great garden.
The ground floor double bedroom has direct access to the garden, and there's also a bathroom on this floor; ideal for grandparents who might find the stairs difficult to negotiate, although please note the ground floor is not all on one level as there are single steps up and down into the utility-area and bathroom directly from the kitchen. Upstairs there are a further two bedrooms that have all been furnished with comfort and a good night's sleep in mind. These bedrooms share the shower-room that boasts a newly fitted electric shower and heated towel rail.
This wonderful cottage will not disappoint and you can literally get back to the simple life with local walks and bridle paths all accessible from your front door. If you can tear yourself away from the farm there are great golf courses, fishing lakes and the famous RHS Rosemoor Gardens close by. Some of Devon's most beautiful beaches and moorland scenery (Dartmoor and Exmoor) are within thirty minutes' drive. North Devon is waiting to be explored and will not disappoint, and we are sure you will return year after year.

Northcott Barton is close to Eaglescott airfield, home of the air ambulance, and can be heard if the helicopter is deployed (which can be day or night). Please note the charging of electric vehicles is not permitted at this property. However there are a number of charging points locally.
