Tucked away down leafy lanes where time slows down a notch or two, this glorious dog-friendly retreat is perfect for escaping the everyday and exploring this special and unspoilt part of north Cornwall and beyond. Impeccably presented and beautifully styled throughout, the owners have left no stone unturned to ensure that comfort and relaxation is high on the agenda.
The open plan living area ensures you enjoy quality time together with its light and airy kitchen, country-style dining-area and toasty wood-burner beckoning you to snuggle up at the end of the day after exploring this beautiful part of the county.
You are assured a good night's sleep in the lovely bedrooms, both with the most comfortable beds, luscious linens, and their own stylish en suites. And with one bedroom on the first floor and the other on the ground floor North Beer Cottage is ideal for those who want a little more privacy or who simply cannot manage the stairs.
Outside the delights keep coming. A choice of places to sit out and chill, and the ultimate thing to get you truly relaxed, if you are not there already, a bubbly hot tub – come on treat yourself, you deserve a break.
Set next to, but very private to the owners' home, they are on hand to provide you with the warmest of welcomes and then leave you to enjoy your time away in peace.
You are in the countryside, so be sure to bring your walking boots to make the most of countryside rambles that leave right from your doorstep. Once you have the bug, head off to explore the dramatic landscape of Dartmoor with its wide open spaces, stunning views and iconic granite tors.
If you want to swap the countryside for the coast, take the short drive to Cornwall's sensational north coast and enjoy traditional seaside fun at Bude, ride the Atlantic rollers at Widemouth Bay or indulge in a cream tea at Crackington Haven. The local market town of Launceston is the place to stock up on provisions and whilst there you may choose to browse the shops, conquer the 13th Century castle (English Heritage) or grab yourself a bite to eat at one of the many cafes and restaurants.
