With breathtaking views that stretch out towards the shimmering waters of St Austell Bay, this charming cottage really does live up to its name. Set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, in the tiny seaside village of Polkerris, the harbour and beach are only the shortest of strolls down the lane, making this the perfect retreat to gather family and friends to enjoy a wonderful coastal escape.
While away many an hour soaking up that wonderful view whilst enjoying leisurely lunches on the sunny terrace and lazing in the bubbling hot tub as the younger members of the party have fun and games in the garden.
Step inside and the light, contemporary, comfy interiors ensure you chill out and unwind from the minute you arrive, with that view never far away. Conjure up culinary delights in the pretty galley kitchen, snuggle up together around the toasty wood-burner in the sitting-room or treat yourselves to evening sundowners in the sun-room, its all about relaxing and enjoying time together and why not?
The pretty cottage bedrooms beckon you when it's time for bed, and with three bedrooms and a bathroom on the first floor and the fourth bedroom on the ground floor along with a shower-room it's perfect for those who are less mobile or simply want a bit more privacy.
Polkerris is a little hidden gem, off the beaten track but it still packs a punch. The sandy beach and sheltered waters make it a great choice for families and for those who seek a little more adventure there's paddle boarding, kayaking and sailing. When it's time to refuel, the beachside bistro is a must- the pizzas are to die for - and you also have the village pub to tempt you with a pint of local ale and more traditional dining. Add to this a great choice of walks, meandering along the coastal footpath, discovering wooded river valleys or heading inland and we couldn't blame you for ditching the car throughout your stay.
But should you want to venture further afield you will not be disappointed. Just around the headland is the fashionable sailing town of Fowey with its trendy shops and galleries, waterside pubs and eateries, as well as sailing regattas and the famous literary festival.
For sailing of a bygone age, you can marvel at the historic tall ships in Charlestown Harbour - Poldark fans might recognise the setting and discover a treasure of delights at the Shipwreck Museum.
The Lost Gardens of Heligan and The Eden Project will delight any garden enthusiast as will the Duchy Nursery in Lostwithiel, that not only has a great choice of plants but a fabulous tea room with views out across to Restormel Castle.
