A tree lined drive takes you to the tranquil Penvores Farm, and the warm and welcoming Penvores Barn, a peaceful haven with gorgeous interiors that embrace an eclectic mix of original features and modern touches.

The reverse-level layout takes advantage of the calming views across the countryside and the open plan upstairs entrance leads to comfy sofas and an efficient wood-burner, a really comfortable space for relaxing. The dining-area and fitted kitchen on the same level make this beautifully appointed room convenient for food preparation, eating, socialising and relaxing and from here one can easily access the balcony, garden and hot tub.

The three bedrooms and two bathrooms are on the ground floor. With crisp linens and calming tones, two are king sized doubles and between them is a single bedroom. Plenty of space and flexibility for up to four guests which is perfect for families and couples alike.

The farm is home to a small flock of Welsh Mountain sheep, rare breed pigs and chickens, as well as the wonderful wildlife to be discovered in its woods, fields and ponds (please take care with children). The owners who live onsite with two friendly dogs are happy for visitors to help with feeding the animals and collecting eggs, and are equally content to let you get on with your holiday undisturbed and enjoy your own private gardens with areas for relaxing and a hot tub, as well as to enjoy the natural beauty of the farm trails.

Five minutes drive from this peaceful retreat is Poldhu beach, a sandy bay popular with locals, surfers and wildlife watchers. This National Trust beach has a cosy cafe, small surf school, wonderful walks and spectacular views across Mounts Bay.

Nearby is the beautiful wooded Helford River and Frenchman's Creek. To the south are the fishing villages of Coverack and Mullion and the popular Kynance Cove. The area is dotted with lesser known beautifully unspoilt sandy coves that are perfect picnic spots.

Visit the magical Trelowarren Estate and New Yard restaurant, enjoy wonderful walks at Loe Bar, Cornwall's largest freshwater lake, or wander through the arty coastal town of Porthleven with its historic fishing harbour.

Penvores Farm is on the Lizard Peninsula, a fantastically diverse area which encompasses tree lined rivers, open moorland, undulating countryside and the sea. Great pubs, open gardens, historic buildings, and all manner of wildlife can be seen within a few miles and good walks enjoyed from the doorstep.
