SingleBelieved to be one of the oldest houses in Crantock, Langurra has been sympathetically restored, imaginatively designed and lovingly styled to become one of the most sought-after homes in this very popular village. The perfect retreat from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, this gorgeous abode is located in the heart of Crantock, reached by a narrow bumpy lane, filled with birdsong in the air.
Langurra is the perfect base for families and couples to holiday in comfort and style. A contemporary semi-detached house, it has a fabulous fully equipped kitchen, large sunny conservatory, a utility-area and wet-room offering plenty of space downstairs. After long days out all the family can relax and enjoy time together in the cosy sitting-room, all warm and toasty thanks to the wood-burner. Upstairs, two of the 'cottage style' bedrooms have en suite shower-rooms and the 'oh so cute' single bedroom has the use of the family shower-room. Decorated and furnished throughout to a very high standard in restful coastal tones, Langurra truly is a real home-from-home.
Outside, the terrace is exceptionally sunny and ideal for al fresco dining, the lawn can be reached via granite steps, so if the weather is as hoped, adults and children alike will be able to barbecue after a busy day exploring this stunning area of Cornwall.
There is parking to the front of the property with an extra parking space at the top of the lane (turning around here is quite tricky).
There is so much to do in north Cornwall with the area literally bursting with a great choice of destinations and days out. A short drive away, the beaches of Perranporth, Watergate Bay and St Agnes are a must for surfers and paddlers alike. For those wishing to investigate Porth and Padstow, the choice of seaside shops, art galleries, tea-rooms and pubs is extensive. Although close to bustling Newquay with its surfing vibe and fabulous beaches, Crantock feels like a different Cornwall, a reminder of times lived at a slower pace. The village has narrow lanes and old stone cottages surrounded by beautiful gardens, a small village green and ancient pubs. The nearby beach is backed by dunes, with the wildlife-rich grasslands of Rushy Green rising up behind them. At the far end of the beach is the headland of Pentire Point West with lovely Polly Joke beach, completely unspoilt and popular in early summer before the beaches become too crowded.
After a busy day what a treat to return to the peace and tranquility of Langurra, the perfect backdrop for a wonderful holiday.
