Stunning, idyllic and totally unique - welcome to The Boathouse. Located literally right on the River Tamar, with the most beautiful views from every window thanks to its knock-out location, this waterside retreat promises you a holiday like no other - so go on why not give yourself a treat?

Nestled in the pretty village of Cargreen in south east Cornwall, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, spend your days soaking up the setting and watching the comings and goings on the river. The large sunny conservatory takes pride of place at the front of the house and is the ultimate spot to relax and unwind and let yourself be captivated by the view stretching across the water over to the rolling green pastures of the Devon countryside, whatever the weather. You may decide to take a step outside for lazy days lounging in the garden, dining al fresco, spotting bird and wildlife at your pleasure or waving to the odd sailor or two passing by.

Even when in the kitchen preparing meals, enjoying a holiday feast at the dining-table or snuggled up in the luxurious sitting-room no-one will blame you for switching off from those around you as you fall under the spell of the calming waters.

On the first floor are the three bedrooms, one with an en suite bathroom, along with the family shower-room. All are presented in a traditional style with the view taking centre stage. What a delight it will be to wake up in the morning, however getting out of bed might prove to be a little more difficult!

But when you are up and about and if you can be tempted to leave this heavenly spot, there are a whole host of delights waiting to be discovered along the Tamar Valley and beyond.

For messing about on the water, The Boat House is in an ideal location if you wish to bring your own dinghy or canoe. There is a slipway alongside the house and a one-ton hoist for lifting into the garden as well as a space for a boat trailer immediately in front of the house.

Garden lovers and historians alike will adore Cotehele (National Trust) and at Pentillie Castle and Estate you can treat yourself to a tour of the gardens, savour a delicious afternoon tea or enjoy one of the special events that take place throughout the year. For those who enjoy a good ramble, there are endless riverside, coastal and countryside walks to explore along with moorland walks across the wild and rugged terrain of Dartmoor.

For a good walk ruined, the golf courses at St Mellion and China Fleet Club are well worth a putt and of course when in Cornwall a trip to the seaside is a must whether it's strolling along the beaches of Downderry and Seaton, riding the Atlantic rollers at Widemouth Bay or simply savouring some good old fish and chips in Looe.
