Immerse yourself in the magic that awaits you at Moonshine. Set amidst an oasis of glorious gardens, lakes, and woodlands with stunning valley views across open countryside, you will be set to Cornish time from the minute you arrive. Tucked away at the end of a mile-long drive, this irresistible little bolthole for two is only the shortest of drives from the coastal villages of Boscastle and Tintagel and all that this stunning part of north Cornwall has to offer.

All on one level, this small but oh so perfectly formed detached barn conversion has been lovingly renovated, offering interiors of natural materials complemented by soft shades and hues which befit its beautiful setting. The main room provides the feel of a hotel room accommodating a super-comfy bed, dining-table and the most attractive sofa crafted from willow but you of course also have the added benefit of your own kitchen area; bespoke and hand-built, you'll enjoy the views across the open countryside whilst serving up your holiday breakfast. Between the two areas sits the stylish shower-room complete with fluffy towelling robes for you to snuggle up and relax in.

The setting is sublime and a credit to the welcoming and friendly owners who are close at hand to offer advice if required but happy to leave you to enjoy your holiday in peace. Wildlife and garden enthusiasts will be in their element with the garden's changing display throughout the year. Packed flower beds encourage an abundance of butterflies and bees to visit, and walks through shaded woodlands may give you the opportunity to spy upon shy deer, cunning foxes and playful squirrels. The mature shrubs around the lakes present quite a show and are a lovely spot to watch the sun set at the end of the wonderful day in this most perfect of settings. Along with the owners, the area is also shared with one other cottage located across the courtyard but as there are 10 acres to explore you are all sure to find your own special private spot in this most idyllic of havens.

If we can drag you away there is more magic waiting to be discovered in the local area. There are miles of coastal and valley walks offering breathtaking scenery that will keep the most avid rambler occupied, or if you want to take things at a gentler space enjoy time lounging on the beach at Crackington Haven. Head into the nearby village of Boscastle with its tiny harbour, local pottery and a great choice of places to eat and drink and at the ancient village of Tintagel you can unearth the myths and legends of King Arthur's birthplace. If food is on the agenda then a trip to Padstow is a must, or a little closer to home the pretty village of Port Isaac, Doc Martin and The Fisherman's' Friends' homeland, has not one but two Nathan Outlaw restaurants.
