Hidden amongst leafy trees at the top of the picturesque village of Boscastle, Cherry Moon is a secret treasure. A detached, well-equipped home-from-home, it is very spacious and the welcoming accommodation is spread over three floors, ensuring there is room for everyone in the party to enjoy some privacy.

The bright open plan living-room has lovely views down the valley and the kitchen/dining-room is a wonderful room that will make holiday catering a real treat. A sunny conservatory provides an alternative place to eat or a place to relax after an exhilarating walk on the coast path – or perhaps a few drinks in the nearby pub! On the ground floor there's another sitting-room, perfect to watch TV and play games, and the spacious hall and utility-room are ideal for all that extra holiday gear – you will not run out of space!

The four bedrooms are spread over two floors, with two on the ground floor and two on the second floor, and the master suite has a super stylish en suite but with a family bathroom and separate shower-room also available there's plenty of choice for everyone else. The terraced gardens will delight young and old alike, in the lower garden a stream gurgles down towards the sea (please take with children) and you will all like the easy access down the hill, to embrace all that this charming village has to offer.

Boscastle is a great base for a holiday in north Cornwall, in fact there's so much on offer close at hand you can ditch the car for the whole of your stay. Wander down to the village to explore the pretty harbour, shops, galleries, local pottery, pubs and eateries and if you need some advice on more to do, call into the local Visitor Centre – they are most helpful.

For the ramblers amongst you, pack up those walking boots as you are in for a treat, as you discover trails through wooded valleys and coastal paths with breathtaking views around every corner, or why not take the walk to the local farm shop and restaurant soaking in the stunning seascape ahead of you as you indulge in a Cornish cream tea - cream on top of course. You can take the coastal path to discover Rocky Valley on the way to the village of Tintagel, packed full of myth and legend with its ancient castle said to be the birthplace of King Arthur. For some traditional seaside fun spend the day in Bude, and Polzeath is an absolute surfers' delight.

After all that sea air you are sure to work up an appetite and north Cornwall is renowned for its great food so you will not be disappointed. From fine dining and Michelin starred restaurants, to beachside cafes and takeaway fish and chips or a traditional Cornish pasty, you can certainly have your fill.
