With the most spectacular panoramic views stretching for miles across open countryside, your cares and troubles will disappear the minute you arrive at Skylark. Almost smack bang in the centre of both coasts, yet only a short drive from some of Cornwall's must see places, this is a fantastic base for venturing to the surfing beaches on the north coast and the more gentler calmer waters on the south and everything else in between; in fact there's so much to do it's hard to know where to begin!
Cleverly designed providing spacious accommodation and to make the best of the views, it is decorated throughout with fascinating trinkets and treasures gathered from the far flung travels of the welcoming yet discreet owner who lives next door. The two spacious en suite bedrooms are on the ground floor, both with patio doors leading out to the garden, ideal if you want to enjoy a morning cuppa before breakfast, and when breakfast calls the modern kitchen/dining-room sits at the end of the hall with views over the garden. Running the full length of the first floor is the sitting-room, a wonderful room where you are sure to spend many an hour soaking up more of that view.
Young, old and any four-legged friends will love the outside space; whether it is chasing through the neighbouring meadows, relaxing in the summer-house spotting birds and wildlife, or simply relaxing in your designated area of the garden enjoying a good book or glass of the local award-winning wine. If you run out, don't worry, the vineyard is just a stroll down the road – yes it's that local!
For days out, you are within walking distance of one of the county's most popular attractions, the Camel Trail. So why not bring your bikes and head off to Wadebridge, a delightful town with many independent shops, or venture further to the coast arriving at Padstow, of Rick Stein's fame, with its trendy shops and galleries, pubs and eateries galore and a whole host of festivals and events throughout the year.
The historic houses and gardens of Pencarrow and Lanhydrock are within easy reach and for further garden delights, The Lost Gardens of Heligan and Eden Project are a must! If beach days are on the agenda, the surfers' favourite of Polzeath and the family favourite Daymer Bay will not disappoint, and TV and film buffs will recognise much of picturesque Port Isaac, of Doc Martin and Fisherman's Friends fame, and the historic harbour of Charlestown, from the BBC series Poldark.
