From days on the coast, walks in the countryside, glorious gardens and country houses there are so many delights to discover in this special part of Cornwall. Explore this unspoilt stretch of coastline, abundant with birds and wildflowers taking in Lantic Bay, Lansallos and Polperro, stopping off at pretty Talland Bay to refuel at the beach cafe or even the hotel which offers both brasserie and fine dining menus as well as fabulous cream teas. Take the ferry across to the fashionable sailing town of Fowey and a little further afield, discover the tall ships in the historic harbour of Charlestown. The Lost Gardens of Heligan and the world-renowned Eden Project are a must for all garden enthusiasts and the historic houses and estates of Pencarrow and Lanhydrock will take you to a Cornwall of a bygone age. At nearby Lostwithiel, you can conquer the Norman castle before wandering amongst the antiques shops in the town or call into the local Duchy Nursery, to purchase some Cornish plants as a keepsake of your holiday or enjoy a snack in their excellent tea rooms whilst taking in the wonderful views of the castle.
