Nestled on the outskirts of the pretty Cornish village of Stithians, this gorgeous bespoke barn is the ideal 'get away from it all' destination. Hettie's Barn is located on the edge of woodland in the grounds of the owners' home. This picture-perfect detached property (which is all on one level), will delight either a small family or couple simply wanting that extra bit of space. It's dog-friendly too, and your four-legged friend will be in heaven with open rural fields and so many walks on your doorstep.
Walk through the French doors into the open plan living-room with kitchen and dining areas, which has the most fabulous kitchen-area equipped with everything you need to cook up a memorable meal during your stay. Furnished beautifully in the softest pale blues and greys to complement the Cornish landscape and sea, you will instantly feel at home. This is the perfect place to relax in after a busy day out and about exploring Cornwall. Leading off from this cosy room, you'll find your two stylishly furnished bedrooms and family bathroom, where you will be welcomed with luxurious White Company bed linen and Noble Isle toiletries.
French doors lead out from the master bedroom onto your private patio-area, with pots of flowers and a little table and chairs – this is a perfect spot to enjoy a morning coffee. Four little steps take you up to the hot tub (available April to October) where you are overlooked only by the fields, trees and birds – it's very private and a super spot for whiling away the evenings, over a glass or two of wine.
Hettie's Barn (named after the owners' much loved Golden Retriever, who is very friendly and loves to say hello!) is perfectly located for easy access to both north and south coasts and the far west of the county. The Eden Project, which celebrates its 18th birthday this year, is only an hour away and will delight even the youngest member of the family. Further along the south coast you can be soaking up the maritime history in Falmouth, strolling through the historic town of Helston or visiting the beautiful Cathedral City of Truro.
Hettie's Barn truly does provide a wonderful peaceful retreat, and if it's seclusion away from the everyday hectic world you're looking for, then you may well have found your perfect holiday home in Cornwall.
