Oh what a fabulous house this is! Step over the threshold of Ingledene and be prepared for a real treat. Located on the coastal road on the edge of Tintagel, a village steeped in history and mythical legend, this single-storey house has recently been transformed into the most stylish and chic of holiday homes.

An impressive extension housing the open plan living-room is a triumph! Light and airy with a high vaulted ceiling and bi-fold doors that frame the view across green fields and out to sea, it's a place for all to gather. Get creative in the beautiful well-equipped kitchen-area that not only has the most fabulous island and stunning quartz worktops but also a 'Bake Off' sliding door oven! Mealtimes will be a treat whether it's a freshly brewed Lavazza coffee at the breakfast-bar, a more formal gathering at the dining-table or a delicious supper on the terrace.

Comfy sofas in front of the wood-burning stove invite you to curl up and relax at the end of a busy day exploring the many delights this part of Cornwall has to offer and there's also a separate snug for those who want a little bit of quiet time – which also has a wood-burning stove, of course – making this a great retreat whatever the weather. There are four smart bedrooms, one with doors leading out to the terrace and to match an equally stylish shower-room, and separate bathroom that complement the rest of the accommodation.

Holidays at Ingledene will be filled with days stomping along the coastal footpath, building sandcastles on the beach, discovering ancient legends and castles, or simply spending time together.

Explore the legendary ruins of King Arthur's Castle with Merlin's Cave hidden below and for more history there's also The Old Post Office (National Trust) dating back to medieval times. The village is within walking distance so ideal for stocking up on supplies or to pop into one of the many cafes and pubs. The picturesque village of Boscastle with its tiny harbour and quaint cottages is well worth a visit and you can either take the short trip by road or be a little more adventurous and hike along the coastal path. There are wooded valleys and miles of coastal footpath right on your doorstep to keep even the most enthusiastic rambler amused, and if you want to catch the waves or feel the sand beneath your toes then head to Trebarwith Strand and Crackington Haven.
