Bunk-bedsPicture perfect, this delightfully bijou terraced cottage is located in the heart of the friendly north coastal village of St Agnes and just a short stroll to the sandy beach at Trevaunance Cove.
Rose Cottage is a mixture of fashionable new and traditional styles; walking up the cobbled path, through the pretty cottage garden to the front door, this lovely spot is already setting the scene for a peaceful stay. The front door opens into the open plan sitting/dining-room with comfortable sofas where you can watch the birds in your garden or snuggle in front of your favourite box set (please note that the Smart TV in the living-room does not have access to terrestrial channels, however streaming service Apps may be viewed - please bring your log in details with you). The dining-table is romantically set next to the wood-burning stove, perhaps enjoy your meals in front of a toasty fire or relax with a good book in the arm chair. This has many original features; a big beautiful inglenook fireplace – with a fabulous contemporary wood-burner – and low lintels, ceilings and beams (taller guests, please take care) which is all part of the attraction.
Two steps up into the galley kitchen you will find everything you need for a holiday feast but should you not want to cook there are many fabulous eateries just moments from your front door such as The Taphouse and The Peterville along with the amazing St Agnes Bakery just to name a few.
Up the steep cottage stairs you will find the two bedrooms and family bathroom. The principal bedroom has a double bed and decorated in calming tones for a good night’s slumber and the second bedroom has bunk-beds perfect for children, both overlooking the front garden. The family bathroom has a bath with a fitted shower for long soaks after days on the beach.
The little front garden at Rose Cottage is tucked away from the hubbub of it all with only number 2 and 3 Rose Cottages as your neighbours. Listen to the trickle of the stream and the bird song in this wonderful spot. Beautifully renovated and lovingly furnished, it really is the perfect coastal retreat for a small family or couple wanting that extra bit of space.
There is a parking space for one car at Rose Cottage, park up and walk only about 11 yards to the steps, follow the 12 steps down discovering Rose Cottages; potter around the side to find the gate in the wall like The Secret Garden and Rose Cottage reveals itself.
