This delightful property is found down an Cornish ope in the gorgeous, waterside village of Flushing. The deceptively large cottage will have you saying 'wow!' as soon as you walk through the front door. This terraced home-from-home has everything you could possibly need on holiday and once you have arrived, you will not need to use your car to explore this stunning part of Cornwall.
The open plan living space provides plenty of room for everyone with double doors leading to a covered patio-area, where you can light the chiminea and enjoy a summer's evening with a glass of wine, listening to the bird song. The pretty garden catches the sun all day and with an abundance of garden furniture there is no shortage of places to enjoy this tranquil spot. The cosy sitting-area has a wood-burning stove to warm the toes on a cooler evening and a Smart TV to enjoy a film or two.
Upstairs you will find the three lovely bedrooms, all with en suite bathrooms – one bathroom has a Jack and Jill door for guests to use. The master bedroom has a 'zip and link' super-king size bed which can be set up as two singles allowing flexibility for family or friends to stay. Bedrooms 1 and 2 are located above the local village shop, overlooking the pretty streets of Flushing.
If you like being on the water, you can launch your kayak or paddle board from the slipway only 50 yards from the house. The cottage has a gate into the side of the garden which is perfect for muddy boots or wet suits.
Once you have arrived at 12 Trefusis Road you will be spoilt for choice as to what to do first. There are many walks to enjoy from this fabulous location – Mylor Harbour is a stunning walk around Trefusis Head, and the cafe there does a fantastic breakfast. In the other direction you can reach the pretty market town of Penryn.
The foot ferry to Falmouth offers a fun way to explore and from here there are ferries to many other parts of the Carrick Roads.
Flushing has it all. There is a safe sandy beach a ten minute walk away (with views over Falmouth), two great pubs, a wonderful restaurant on the quay, and a village store just in front of 12 Trefusis Road. What more could you want on holiday in this idyllic part of Cornwall?
