There is nowhere quite like St Agnes when it comes to relaxation and rejuvenation. There is something about the salty air and laid back pace of life that makes this peninsula a particularly special holiday destination. Stormleigh Cottage is on the outskirts of this delightful village, surrounded by its own grounds and next door to the lovely owners' home. Set in an elevated position, just off the road, this quaint cottage boasts some beautiful original features including wooden floorboards, an inglenook fireplace and characterful beamed ceilings.
Oozing with traditional charm, Stormleigh Cottage provides modern living in timeless surroundings, and is the perfect choice for a group of friends or small family looking for coastline chic, within walking distance of the village and beach.
Stormleigh really is a very charming cottage and walking through the front garden and stepping through the front door into the pleasant sitting-room (the first of two) you will instantly feel at home.
We love that this unique cottage offers you two cosy sitting-rooms; both with wood-burners, comfy sofas, soft throws and fluffy cushions! Totally heavenly for those chillier Cornish evenings to curl up on with a good book. The homely kitchen/diner is a perfect blend of old and new with all the mod-cons taken care of yet still in keeping with the cottage feel. Up the stairs, which are narrow and steep in places (very common in character Cornish cottages), two of the three bedrooms are furnished with calm creams and greys and combine this with the quality bedding, you are sure to have a good night’s sleep. The family bathroom has a bath with a shower over and is the perfect place for a soak after a day’s activities.
Outside you have a sunny front garden, brimming with cottage flowers, and to the rear you have a patio-area with a built-in barbecue; fabulous for those balmy summer evenings, if you wish to eat al fresco.
Stormleigh Cottage is a ten minute walk into the bustling village. The village of St Agnes is becoming one of Cornwall’s most sought-after destinations!
Food wise, whether it’s a laid back cafe or an upmarket eatery, you’re covered! The St Agnes bakery, a favourite with the Poldark film crew, does the most amazing pastries and Wheal Kitty, which is just around the corner from Stormleigh Cottage, is a very cool spot! Here you will find the fabulous Canteen serving fabulous home-made dishes and is also home to the very trendy Finisterre clothes store.
