This gorgeous cottage is a super place to enjoy the delights of Dartmoor. Don your walking boots, saddle up the dog(s) and head out on a new adventure every day. Whichever direction you roam you will be greeted by the most glorious uninterrupted views coupled with an array of very friendly four-legged locals.

This dog-friendly retreat has been lovingly furnished, ensuring the homely and comfortable feeling of this cottage hits you the moment you walk in; from the warming electric Aga to the wood-burner set in the charming inglenook fireplace, returning home after a day on the moors is a real treat.

You also have a beautifully landscaped garden with an ornamental pond and small stream that runs the perimeter of the garden, which is the perfect setting to enjoy a spot of al fresco dining. Your garden is fully enclosed, allowing your four-legged friends to investigate and roam in the safety and constraints of your private garden.

The icing on the cake in this glorious location is the village green. Stroll down to the green and you will be met with a Post Office, tea shop, a choice of two fabulous pubs and a real heartfelt Dartmoor welcome. Simply charming!

Widecombe is one of the oldest and most popular villages to be found on Dartmoor; a delightful, friendly village of stone higgledy-piggledy cottages with a lovely old church, tucked into a little valley with the moor rising up on all sides encasing this magical village.

This is just the spot for a great walking holiday where you can come back to a comfortable retreat, unwind and relax. If wanting to venture further afield, Bovey Tracey is home to the Devon Guild of Craftsmen and well worth a visit, if nothing else, for its cafe which does great food.

The coast is a half-hour drive down to Teignmouth and Shaldon which are home to a whole host of attractions and activities. If a day on the beach is on your 'to do' list then the sands of Shaldon beach await. Or why not treat yourself to a bite to eat in one of the numerous cafes and restaurants at your disposal, you will be spoilt for choice. Not forgetting that a day out by the seaside is not complete until you have spent a small fortune on the seaside amusements which can be found in abundance in Teignmouth. All in all a great day out for the whole family.

However, enjoying the coastal element of south Devon will require you peeling yourself away from the beautiful moors. This welcoming cottage and special location is the perfect holiday formula for enjoying the finest sights, sounds and smells Dartmoor has to offer. Enjoy!
