This gorgeous rural barn conversion tucked away on the Roseland peninsula is truly a hidden treasure in this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Beautifully presented and exceptionally spacious there is a real feel of style and luxury with contemporary furnishings, Vi-spring mattresses, local artwork, an impressive Smart TV and cosy wood-burner for those cooler evenings in, this is a truly magical place to stay. Set in picturesque grounds, An Skiber adjoins the owner's barn yet feels very private and, with expansive gardens and far reaching views across open countryside just outside Ruan Lanihorne, provides an excellent base for exploring this beautiful part of Cornwall.

The bespoke designer kitchen/dining-room is both functional and contemporary with every item carefully chosen, and for those coffee aficionados the bean to cup Melitta Varianza coffee machine won't disappoint. This truly is somewhere you can enjoy cooking, as drinks are shared with friends and family, and an indulgent basket of handpicked produce from Cornish Artisans awaits your arrival.

The spacious sitting-room enjoys a dual-aspect with the window to the east overlooking the Mediterranean-style courtyard while the French doors to the south open to the south-facing terrace. With a Weber barbecue this is the perfect spot for al fresco dining, while on those balmy summer days the cantilever sun canopy offers a welcome relief. The well-kept garden of approximately an acre is perfect for relaxing or letting off steam and at the end of the day, as dusk descends over the valley, why not pour yourself a sundowner, sit back and maybe catch a glimpse of the deer, buzzards or even that elusive owl.

The property accepts a dog and they are warmly welcomed with a dog bed, bowl, towel and treat.

The Kings Head pub at Ruan Lanihorne, with its pretty beer garden, is just over a mile away and the excellent award-winning Da Bara bakery and cafe a short drive away so close enough to collect fresh croissants and bread for breakfast. There is a farm shop at Curgurrell selling local produce, including freshly landed fish, crab and lobster. The seaside villages of St Mawes and Portscatho are close by with a selection of shops, friendly pubs and galleries. The well-known Hidden Hut cafe at Porthcurnick Beach serves delicious outdoor cooked food and has regular ticketed feast nights during the year. Nearby is the Driftwood Hotel with its Michelin star restaurant, and the Idle Rocks and Hotel Tresanton in St Mawes both have excellent waterside restaurants for that special night out. There are many sandy beaches and coves to explore including Carne and Pendower, and plenty of water sport activities for the more adventurous to enjoy on this stunning peninsula; sailing boats, kayaks and paddle boards are all available to hire locally.
