Mazey's Cottage

1.5 miles NE of Praa Sands / Sleeps 4 + cot

7 Nights from £442 - £1104

Close to the stunning west Cornwall coastline, Mazey's Cottage is a fabulous rural retreat. Sit outside the cottage and enjoy wonderful views to the sea and the Penwith peninsula.

The sandy beach of Praa Sands is just over a mile away. The cottage is set within the Owners' 15 acre smallholding (where two friendly collies, cats, sheep and chickens also reside). There are large enclosed patios to the front and the rear of the property, catching the morning and evening sun.

Adjacent to the cottage is a meadow where children and dogs can play. Most of Mazey's Cottage is on one level which makes it perfect for guests with limited mobility.

There is a large open plan kitchen/diner and spacious sitting-room, with a high beamed ceiling, allowing plenty of living space for family and friends alike. Stairs from the sitting-room lead up to a galleried room with futon – for sitting or sleeping.

Close by are the unspoilt bays at Rinsey and Prussia Cove. St Michael's Mount is five miles west and the harbour town of Porthleven is four miles east.

Footpaths from the cottage lead up Tregonning Hill (a short walk with fantastic views) or walk to Godolphin Hill, House and woods – you can even walk to the coast path.

After your day out relax in the sitting-room with a book, in front of a roaring wood-burner, whilst your children play. You won't have to worry about your bikes, surfboards and beach gear – there is a lockable shed outside.

Despite its 18th Century origins, Mazey's Cottage achieves an energy rating better than most modern houses due to 21st Century standards of insulation. You can have an eco-friendly holiday in a cottage powered by solar panels and a small wind turbine.
