Nestled in a wooded valley, and just over a mile from the stunning scenery of the Helford River, this former water powered corn mill is bordered by the Durra stream and the cottage's delightful garden. Beautifully and sympathetically restored, the Mill is the perfect balance of old and new with many original features retained and complemented by the more recent modern additions. On the ground floor the property offers spacious living and dining complete with a fabulous range cooker in the country kitchen, so if you like to cook, you will love this space. On the first floor, three comfortable bedrooms linked by an open landing all enjoy views over the garden to the stream beyond and with a shower-room next to the master bedroom, the main bathroom at the end of the landing and a separate cloakroom downstairs, this lovely property is ideal for a family or a few friends seeking sanctuary. Whatever the time of year or weather, Treworgie Mill is the perfect rural retreat; when it's wet and blowing a hooley sit together around the kitchen table playing board games or curl your feet up on the sofa in front of the open fire in the sitting-room catching up with a good book. When the summer temperatures rise, dine al fresco in the gorgeous garden whilst enjoying the sounds of the trickling stream and the singing birds in the trees or open up the French doors in the snug and bring the outside into this welcoming space.
The village of Manaccan, just under a mile away, is known for its pretty cottages as well as providing a friendly pub, village shop, a restaurant and the ancient church of St Anthony. Around half a mile away you will find Gillan Creek, probably named from the Cornish word 'gilenn' for nook or creek, this whole area is a bit of an unspoilt gem where times seems to stand still. Take the ferry to cross between Halamana, Gillan and St Anthony at high tide or walk at low tide as the stepping stones of the South West Coast Path across Gillan Creek are submerged roughly three hours either side of high water.
