Switch off from the hustle and bustle of daily life and enjoy a well-earned holiday in this very comfortable and incredibly stylish retreat with the added luxury of full under-floor heating. Tucked away in a peaceful rural location, this charming barn is ideal for couples and small families alike as there is an en suite bedroom and a separate bathroom so no queuing necessary! Oozing with the rustic charm of the original farm building but with a modern twist, the owner has thoughtfully equipped and furnished this single-level holiday home. Perfectly located for exploring this beautiful area of Cornwall, a short drive up the narrow lane brings you onto the main road with the beaches of the north coast in one direction and the beautiful craggy coves of the Lizard peninsula and Helford Passage in the other. Sitting beside the owner's home and two other cottages, the barn is detached and due to the orientation of the property it is also very private from your neighbours, however you might meet them for a game of table-tennis in the former stable yard. Whether you like to explore the land and seascapes on foot, sit on a golden sandy beach or discover the rich mining history of this fascinating area, this location has so much to offer. When the day draws to a close, come home to The Long Barn and enjoy a cool refreshing drink in the courtyard garden, or as the temperature drops, why not fire up the wood-burner, warm up the cocoa and get cosy on the sofa; whatever your preference, you will probably leave this endearing holiday home wanting to return.
For those interested in the mining history of this area, Poldark Mine is a ten minute drive away and Heartlands, near Redruth, is definitely worth a visit. This area of Cornwall also has many historic buildings and gardens to visit such as Godolphin House, Trebah and Glendurgan Gardens, St Michael's Mount at Marazion or for thrill-seekers Flambards Theme Park just up the road in Helston. If you prefer to leave the car and explore on foot, there are walks right on the doorstep or miles of coast path to discover, so don't forget to bring your walking boots!
