Lynchet Lodge is a gorgeous open plan cottage, beautifully furnished and equipped to provide all that you need for a relaxing holiday in rural Dorset. The open plan kitchen/dining/living area looks out over the enclosed garden and green valley beyond, where you can watch buzzards gliding and circling and enjoy the peace and tranquility that this location offers. The kitchen has modern appliances with all that you need to prepare indulgent holiday treats, and a Nespresso machine for lazy morning late starts. The two bedrooms have super-comfy beds, one five foot double with en suite shower-room and a twin room with luxurious bedding and linens. If you want to bring your dog on holiday, they are welcomed at this fabulous retreat and with numerous dog-friendly places nearby they will have a wonderful holiday too.

The nearby little town of Beaminster has a delightful array of places to eat and independent shops in which to browse for holiday goodies and treasures to take home. The World Heritage Jurassic Coast is a short drive; Burton Bradstock has a sandy beach, where your dog can run all year round, West Bay has magnificent cliffs (please heed the local information about cliff safety) and Seatown has the Anchor Inn, with delicious locally-sourced dishes. Charmouth is a great place to hunt for fossils and Lyme Regis, right on the Dorset/Devon border, has some great places to explore including the famous Cobb and Monmouth beach where you can see the ammonite pavement at low tide. Drive to the east for Dorchester, the county town of Dorset, or beyond to the Saxon-walled market town of Wareham, gateway to the Jurassic Coast. Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door are iconic geological landmarks that add to the splendour of this spectacular coastline. The Isle of Purbeck has its very own castle at Corfe and beyond lie the sandy beaches at Studland and Swanage.
