King's Cabin has a delightful uninterrupted view directly down the length of the valley and the huge deck is the perfect private setting for the hot tub. A little path (steep in places, so please take care) takes you from the parking-area, through the trees below George Cabin - or you can walk across the meadow if you prefer - and just tucked away on the slope of the hillside is this lovely cabin.
Inside, the delightful open plan living space has been thoughtfully put-together with every item carefully chosen and provided. There is a comfy hand-crafted king-size bed, where you can start the day by waking up to the gorgeous view, and a cosy wood-burner for those out-of-season escapes. The kitchen-area is equipped for all of your glamping needs - there is a mini cooker with two-ring hob (for rustling up a yummy dinner), fridge with ice-box (for that bottle of bubbly) and an all-important kettle. There is, of course, a spacious en suite shower-room complete with double walk-in shower, wash-basin, flushing loo and a heated towel rail too.
The excellent facilities inside are matched by those outside - the wide deck boasts the bubbling hot tub, from which the stupendous countryside views can be enjoyed by day and the starry sky (with absolutely no light pollution to dim it) by night. The sun loungers are ideal for relaxing on with a good book, or perhaps a snooze in the sun, and there is a fire-pit for barbecuing. All in all, King's Cabin is the ideal get-away-from-it-all retreat.
Facing away from each other for total privacy, King's Cabin and George Cabin (its only near neighbour) have pride of place in a 51 acre farmland setting with - it gets better and better - river frontage and thoroughly tame free-range pigs in the 15 acre wood that lines the valley! As if this is not enough, a 10 minute stroll will take you to the friendly local pub (booking a table a couple of weeks prior to your stay is advisable as it is extremely popular) - the Castle Inn at George Nympton - for a drink and an evening meal (and a quick WiFi fix if you really need to!). They even serve breakfast - just give them a call the day before to book a table and a hearty fry-up will be awaiting you in the morning!
If you're after some retail therapy, the market town of South Molton is just under 3 miles away with its independent shops, as well as a country market every Thursday and Saturday morning with up to 70 local produce and artisan stalls - perfect for picking up supplies (and treats!) before returning to your idyllic retreat.
