George Cabin

3823

2.5 miles SW of South Molton / Sleeps 2 (no children under 16)

7 Nights from £390 - £695

Looking towards the woodland on the facing hillside with wonderful valley views to the side as well, a wide deck for the hot tub and a gorgeous, spacious interior, this is glamping at its best. You will catch a magical glimpse of George Cabin through the trees as you follow the woodland path from the parking-area (steep in places, so please take care) to this fantastic retreat. Beautifully hand crafted and styled inside and out, every detail has been carefully put together and provided. The delightful open plan living space includes a well-equipped kitchen-area with mini oven and two-ring hob (for rustling up a scrumptious supper), kettle (for that all-important morning cuppa) and fridge with ice-box (G&T, anyone?). The window at the end of the comfortable, hand-made king-size bed makes lazy mornings spent gazing at the view a must, and the warming wood-burner will keep you toasty whatever the weather. You are also treated to a spacious en suite shower-room, complete with double walk-in shower, wash-basin and flushing loo - yes, this really is glamping! Outside, the bubbling hot tub sits proud on the wide deck - perfect for relaxing in with the night sky sparkling through the trees above. There are sun loungers to chill out on too, perhaps with that book you have been meaning to read, and a fire-pit barbecue for al fresco cooking. Looking for somewhere to escape the stresses and strains of everyday life? Look no further!

Facing away from each other for total privacy, George Cabin and King's Cabin (its only near neighbour) have pride of place in a 51 acre farmland setting with - it gets better and better - river frontage and thoroughly tame free-range pigs in the 15 acre wood that lines the valley! As if this is not enough, a 10 minute stroll will take you to the friendly local pub (booking a table a couple of weeks prior to your stay is advisable as it is extremely popular) - the Castle Inn at George Nympton - for a drink and an evening meal (and a quick WiFi fix if you really need to!). They even serve breakfast - just give them a call the day before to book a table and a hearty fry-up will be awaiting you in the morning! If you're after some retail therapy, the market town of South Molton is just under 3 miles away with its independent shops, as well as a country market every Thursday and Saturday morning with up to 70 local produce and artisan stalls - perfect for picking up supplies (and treats!) before returning to your idyllic retreat.
